Church of Our Redeemer serving the Central Savannah River Area in South Carolina and Georgia
Stewardship
Dear Members and Friends:
I would like to THANK YOU for the time, talent and treasure you have so generously given to the Metropolitan Church of Our Redeemer (MCCOOR) during this past year.
Thanks to your gifts we are able to provide a loving and accepting presence in our community for those who may be disconnected from God and have no place to turn. Your gifts provide a place of refuge for all who are tired and thirst for the love of God and for an accepting church family.
During this next year, MCCOOR is embarking on a great journey to expand our church led programs and we will undertake the active recruitment and hiring of a full-time minister. We are also establishing the goal of paying off our existing church mortgage so that we will be in the best financial position to attain and sustain these changes.
We ask for your prayers and continued support so that we may grow to our full potential and be the place of refuge that is so vital to our community. With God’s help and your support we know we can do this.
MCCOOR is fortunate in that we have managed to stay within our allocated budget each year. This has been done through reducing financial support to programs we offer to our congregation and to the community and by keeping our salaries virtually unchanged for the past several years. This unfortunately, has also resulted in stagnation in growth and in some cases the loss of members and friends to churches that are able to offer more.
In order to grow into our full potential, we are prayerfully asking our members and friends to prayerfully consider increasing the amount of your annual pledge to our church and its ministries. Please complete the attached pledge form during the month of September 2011 and drop it in the collection plate or return it to the church. Again, we say THANK YOU for your faithfulness and generosity.
Grace and Peace,
David Brown,
MCC of Our Redeemer
